The Sanctuary Vegan is an organization that rescues and defends animals considered "farm animals", victims of exploitation, abandonment or other forms of mistreatment. This oasis, surrounded by livestock farms and hunting grounds, houses hundreds of refugee animals, who receive the necessary and personalized care and facilities so that they can have a dignified life for the rest of their days.
At the same time, they are a window to the world that demonstrates not only the physical and social improvements that each inhabitant experiences over time since their arrival, but also their emotional development, their personality, their moods and above all their desire to live.

NAIARA SÁNCHEZ PIÑEIRO complements her work as a photographer, drone pilot and cartoonist with animal rights activism; she has been a volunteer at Sanctuary Vegan since 2017 and collaborates with other sanctuaries and associations through volunteering, organizing events and solidarity workshops. She is part of a multidisciplinary association born in 2022 that seeks to foster collectivity and self-sufficiency through all kinds of collaborative initiatives and synergies among its members.
